2023
Jean-Michel Basquiat, known for his raw, improvisational style and exploration of themes like duality and identity, broke barriers in the contemporary art world, redefining what it meant to be an artist. In collaboration with Polaroid, a special edition camera and film were created to celebrate his legacy. For this project, I worked on high-quality camera renders and developed the concept for a retail space at MoMA, bringing Basquiat's artistic spirit into a modern, tangible experience.

I start a picture and I finish it. I don't think about art while I work. I try to think about life.

For the retail activation, our aim was to make Basquiat's artwork the central element. We wrapped a cube fixture for the MoMA store and used it as a backdrop to highlight the piece. I also developed concepts for an endcap and a freestanding display that incorporate the shape of the Empire State Building as a symbol of New York, Basquiat's city.
